This will be the last day of my Daniel fast. However, I will continue on in a different way starting from tomorrow. Darling Pearl will be marching on with a tweaked vegan diet, while I will graduate to a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet. We came to these decisions based on the fact that, in terms of weight loss/gain, the opposite of what we wanted was happening; I was losing weight, and she was gaining.
We checked out some videos by a doctor named Eric Berg that helped us tweak our fasting rules. Pearl will steer clear of anything high on the insulin index, like rice, fruits, corn, etc. I am going to add yogurt in the morning (which was a part of my normal routine), as well as eggs for an added protein boost. Still no meat, and no coffee or alcohol.
As for tonight, we’re still on the Daniel fast, so darling Pearl cooked us some veggie curry that was quite delicious!

God, thanks for a wonderful woman that cooks healthy and nutritious food. Thanks for getting me through the week on such a tough diet. Please continue to cleanse me and give me answers to the prayers I lift up. Thanks for loving me. Amen.
